Honeybee Health: Random Shots

I posted a couple of these on Honeybee Facebook and Instagram and wanted to share my random food shots on here as well....
I LOVE these turkey meatballs from Traders. I think I posted on them last year but thought I would reshare for my newer followers. They are pre cooked, a great source of protein and DELISH! If you pack a lunch for work, I would take three of these with 1/2 cup of brown rice and a side salad!

Pretty much 5 days out of the week i'm having high fiber / low sugar cereal with unsweetened vanilla almond milk.  I also switch it up with some instant oatmeal and berries as well. With a new baby and little time to myself this is my go to healthy fiber filled breakfast.

Here are some of my favorite cereal picks. They have tons of fiber and definitely keep me full! If these are too healthy for you try adding a half a box of raisins to the cereal.

Prepping for the week...Cutting up all the Strawberries and grilling up my organic Wild Salmon so its ready to go whenever I'm hungry. Prepping and having healthy options on hand always makes it easier to stay on track!

A peek at my grocery cart at traders! Pile on the colorful fruits and veggies!!!

LOVE this "WhoNu" brand! The calorie count isn't any lower than other typical cookies out there so don't think you will lose weight eating them... but if you are going to have sweets you might as well have these! They have fiber, calcium and vitamin C! 3 cookies are around 150 calories so I "TRY" to stick to three and a glass of skim milk after dinner. They have a chocolate chip kind that are beyond tasty! I try not to buy those because I definitely can't stop after 3!

    1. i used to count calories but not so much anymore. When I did I would aim for 1700 and usually end up eating closer to 2000. Now since I'm breast-feeding I'm def not as strict with the calorie counting because I need to make sure I'm getting enough to keep up my supply and energy.

  16. Can you please post your salmon recipe? I am so inspired by your blog, but don't know how to cook! I normally rely on frozen meals from whole foods, but I know that fresh is healthier, I just don't know how to prepare food like chicken and fish. Sharing how you cook it would help so much. Thanks!!

    1. thats so great you want to eat healthier! honestly my cooking salmon and chicken is SUPER simple and clean. I just put a couple table spoons of olive oil in a pan and cook them until they are cooked through. For chicken sometime I put fresh rosemary on it or chopped garlic and sea salt. With The salmon is done on the stove as well with a little olive oil and sea salt. Hope this helps
